Pattern Updates & Errata

Pattern Updates:

Growth is important. Over time, we may update our patterns and products to improve usability and maintain branding consistency.

If you have purchased a pattern that has since been updated (not due to error), replacements will not be issued.

Much like if your favourite peanut butter brand adjusted their recipe, it doesn’t mean you’re eligible for a free jar.

Updates may include but are not limited to additional sizes, tweaks and overall improvements to increase the product value. This goes for all PDF, printed and physical products.

Errata:

The quality and accuracy of our patterns means everything to us. Unfortunately, humans sometimes make mistakes. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally a pattern may need tweaking.

If you do find a mistake on your pattern, please check below for the latest update. If you don't find what you're after here, please let us know by emailing our team here - info@papercutpatterns.com

Thank you for your understanding!

Errata

31/7/20: Slightly widened the neckline and corresponding binding pieces as the size 1 & 2 was a bit too tight for some of our sewists.

18/2/20: Slightly reshaped the sleevehead for smoother construction.

11.2.22 - In the curve version of pattern piece 3 (Back Yoke), the cut instructions said to cut 2 fabric & 1 fusing. This is incorrect. You only need 2 fabric. There is no fusing required for this piece.

17.01.2022 - An error has come to our attention in the Ashling Blouse/Dress instruction booklet.

In step 24 it says, ‘Place the raw edge of your collar or frill piece, also right side up, onto the collar stand’.

It should say, ‘Place the raw edge of your collar or frill piece, under-collar/wrong side up, onto the collar stand’.

8/3/21: It's just come to our attention that there is a missing belt loop pattern piece (piece 12) for the skirt variation of our Aura pattern. You can find the belt loop piece here to print separately: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nx91rztmdrv0i2d/Aura_missing_piece.pdf?dl=0

1/21: It has come to our attention that there was a slight grade error on the side seam of the front bodice piece in our Axis Dress pattern, which mainly affected the larger sizes. If you had trouble making yours, please find the updated fixed piece here.

12/19: We have updated a numbering error in the instructions for the Axis Dress - in Step 8, the bottom note should read, "If you are making the dress, skip to Step 12" (do not step ahead to Step 14).

11.08.2022 - The cutting layouts should have shown two reflected pocket bags instead of four facing the same direction. This has been updated in all formats.

1/19: The seam allowance symmetry between Piece 2 and Piece 3 was incorrect and fixed.

21/7/2022: Have changed the Fabric Needs chart to specify 140cm/55" wide fusing rather than 114cm/45" wide.

8/7/20: We updated the red "cut line for lining" on piece 4. The lines were correct but the sizing key was reversed.

17/12/19: We have fixed an error with the front lining and lower front pieces of our beloved Sapporo Coat and updated the instructions with a new construction method – if you had trouble making yours, please find the updated fix sheet and instructions here. This fix is only for the Sapporo Coat pattern purchased before November 2019 with the pictured beige coat on the cover of your pattern. If your pattern has the black coat on the cover, you have the updated pattern and there is no need for this fix.

If you have questions, please feel free to email us at info@papercutpatterns.com, we’re happy to help.

27.09.2022 - The finished length measurement for the long coat was incorrect in the imperial measurement chart in the printed booklet only. This has now been updated. If you have the booklet with the incorrect measurement, you can find the correct chart on the product details on our website.

28.07.2022 - We found that the finished length measurement for the short jacket length was incorrect on our chart. This has been updated accross all chanels and on our website. Sorry for any inconvenience.

11/8/22: The pattern Index listed piece 7 as "Neck Facing" when it should have been "Sleeve Cuff - Var. 3". This has been updated in all formats.

30/8/21: In step 1 of the instructions, it said: "Skip to step 4 for Variation 2 & 3", however it should have said "Skip to step 3 for Variation 2 & 3". This has been updated in all of our instruction booklets for this pattern including the new curve pattern.

12/6/20: Updated the Pinnacle instructions with much clearer explanations on how to get those triangles and points perfect. If you would like the updated instructions, you can download them here.

If you purchased the Pinnacle Top before 24.5.19 you can download the three updated pieces here

13/1/20: Updated Neck Facing piece for Var. 1. We removed 1cm from centre front.

24/5/19: Updated upper & lower triangle pieces as they were not fitting together accurately.

24.2.22 - We discovered piece 3 (Front Bodice B) was missing the waist tie notches on the PDF version. The files have now been corrected. You will need to do a fresh download to have the updated files.

20/10/20: We updated our instructions to show how to do a bagged out lining for a much easier and cleaner finish. We also updated the front lining piece to remove 2cm excess from the centre front hem. If you have the printed pattern, we show you how to fix it here.

12/4/16: We discovered a grading issue with Pocket Bag A & Pocket Bag B. This does not impact on the fit of the jeans, just the pockets and the way they fit with the side seams. We have amended our patterns, but if you have a pre-corrected file, please click here to download the updated Pocket Bag pieces.

29/9/2023 - Updated the diameter measurements of buttons required as this was wrong. It was changed for both the standard size range and curve size range.
