Pattern Hack: Hoodless Undercover Hood

Pattern Hack: Hoodless Undercover Hood

Finishing out my mini Undercover Hood series here at Papercut, I made up a sample without the hood or the pocket. This was soo easy - and fast!

I used a super drapey rayon knit from my stash, which looks great with the raglan sleeves and deep cuffs. And it's sooo comfy!

Leaving off the hood meant that I had to finish the neckline in some way, so I opted to sew in a knit band (tutorial here). The fabric was super drapey, so I topstitched the seam down to keep everything in place. I also left off the bottom band, and just sewed a simple seam along the bottom hem using my twin needle and some Stitch Witchery to keep things from being too wobbly.

Like I said, this baby is super comfy, while also somehow managing to not look sloppy. I've never been much of a loose/drapey tshirt girl, but this pattern is really making me second guess that first impression.
